Gallery
What is the history of the gallery
Founded by Caroline St-Pierre and Olivier Mineau, the Galerie d'art Berthelet was born in the context of a global pandemic, but this dream did not prevent the couple from opening this new cultural place bringing together a collection of modern and unique works of art.
Located in the heart of downtown Berthierville, the gallery wants to revive the vitality of the Place du Marché.
Olivier and Caroline want to take part in the development of visual arts in Lanaudière with dynamism and innovation.
Why the name Berthelet?
The word Berthelet comes from the establishment formerly called Le Château Berthelet, a hotel located near the Chenal du Nord, in Lanaudière. Kissed by the flames, at the end of the 70s, this cult place of the region was a place of meetings, shows and heritage culture. The name Berthelet was the perfect name to revive the desire to share ART.
What is the mission of the Galerie d'Art Berthelet?
Bringing "art closer to people" is the main mission of the Galerie d'art Berthelet. The company wants to be a "flagship" place bringing together all the current needs that an artist wants to develop.
The values of the company are proximity, innovation and quality. These are three important elements for each of the works represented by the gallery.
The Galerie d'art Berthelet offers a range of services aimed at promoting the Visual Arts from here and elsewhere with a unique and passionate service.
