Isabelle Rivest

Isabelle Rivest's floral paintings can be seen as imaginary suggestions, inviting interpretation from the viewer. She approaches her flowers like still lifes from past centuries, soft, rich and deep from the Rococo and Baroque periods. At other times, they evoke the discovery of uncertain landscapes with sculpted petals and luminous shapes. Other compositions evoke thickly textured floral fields, inviting the viewer to step inside.

She aims to capture the delicate nature of flowers, filled with powerful movement, natural form and a sense of serenity in every piece.

Originally from the great metropolis of Montreal, we can observe his work in various private collections in Canada, the United States and Europe.
